IND vs ENG: Jasprit Bumrah Likely to Return for 5th Test

After winning the fourth test in Ranchi, India has sealed a five-match test series victory over England by 3-1. With only one match to go, India has to play the fifth test at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. In the fourth test at Ranchi, India beat England by 5 wickets, successfully chasing 192 runs.

The combined efforts of Indian batsman Shubham Gill and Dhruv Jurel of partnership 72 runs, helped India to seal the test series. The fifth test of the series will start on 7th March 2024, at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. India would also likely win this test match and will also try to secure the series 4-1.

Whereas, the England team would try to restore their pride in the fifth test. The Indian team would likely give some chances to those players who were sitting on the bench. It is also interesting to see what kind of approach the English team will use.

The Indian spearhead bowler Jasprit Bumrah would likely return in the 5th test at Dharamshala. After playing 3 test matches, Jasprit Bumrah has been given rest for a fourth test match, due to workload management.

He has been a successful bowler till now in this test series. He has taken 17 wickets, in 3 test matches, and also taken a fifer in this series. The bowler is most likely to return for the Dharamshala test and will strengthen the Indian bowling attack.

It will also be interesting to see whom Jasprit Bumrah will replace. In the fourth test, both the seamers Mohomad Siraj and Debutant Akashdeep gave great performances. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, both these bowlers were quite efficient in their performance.

Will the Indian team go with the three seamers as the pitch of Dharamshala doesn’t support spin? It will be interesting to see in the fifth test, what kind of combination will the Indian team try. 

IND vs ENG: KL Rahul’s Availability Still Unclear for Fifth Test

The availability of Indian batsman KL Rahul is still unclear for the fifth test match. For approximately one week, he will be in London for his therapy.

The Indian batsman Kl Rahul has only played one test till now of this series. This is not the first time he has been injured and failed the fitness test. Although he has previously been cleared by the NCA and achieved a 90% fitness level for the third test in mid-February.

However, the youngsters of the Indian team have not let down their performance in the batting order. But still, the Indian team is missing its experienced middle-order batsman.
