The skilled bowler of the Indian cricket team Mohammed Shami is out of the Indian Premier League and ICC T20 World Cup, due to his undergoing heel surgery on his Achilles Tendon. After the closing of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, it has been noticed that Mohammed Shami is missing cricketing. 

In the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, the right-arm pacer Mohammed Shami had shown a great performance, where he took 24 wickets. Throughout the tournament, Mohammed Shami was seen in pain and discomfort. He was also facing difficulty in landing, but he didn’t let his game be affected due to his pain.

Undergoing Ankle Surgery of Mohammed Shami

The pace bowler of the cricket team, Mohammed Shami has gone through a successful surgery on his heel. It has been reported that his heel surgery was on Monday to repair his Achilles Tendon in the United Kingdom.

Also, it has been said that he would take time to regain his full fitness, to get back into action again. On Monday evening, Mohammed Shami gave an update on his ankle injury, by posting a photo on his social media account. In that post, he also informed his fans that he had a successful operation in the UK.

He posted a picture of himself, with the message, “Just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon. Recovery is going to take some time but looking forward to getting back on my feet.”

This news has come as a major shock for Gujarat Titans, as well as for the Indian cricket team. Mohammed Shami is an important part of the Indian pace attack. He is known for his fiery spells and also the capability to take wickets in critical moments as well.

It will be a marked loss for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2024. Also, becomes a major concern for the national team as they prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
